Clean your Tongue Scraper:
Daily Maintenance
Copper naturally develops a patina over time; this is not rust and remains perfectly safe for your mouth. To keep it pristine, simply rinse it with warm water and a drop of mild soap after every use. Always store it in a dry area to prevent early tarnishing.
Deep Clean Method
Deep clean your copper tongue scraper using vinegar and salt to easily dissolve tarnish and buildup. In a pot or bowl, combine roughly 3 parts white vinegar to 1 part salt (e.g., 3 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of salt). Soak the scraper, allow it to sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Scrub if needed if there is stubborn tarnish, use a soft, damp cloth or brush to gently scrub the scraper while it is submerged. Rinse and dry, remove the scraper and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Dry completely with a clean towel to prevent water spots.
Quick Scrub Method
If you are in a rush, use a wedge of lemon or lime instead of vinegar. Dip the juicy side of the citrus wedge into a generous amount of salt. Rub the salted citrus directly over the copper scraper until the tarnish and stains disappear. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
Longevity
When well cared for, your 100% Pure Copper Tongue Cleaner & Scraper can easily last a lifetime. Copper does not degrade, rust, or harbor bacteria like plastic does, making it a highly durable and sustainable oral hygiene tool.
